A project separating the outer ‘skin’ and inner ‘structure’ of a found wooden chair. The surface layer of the wooden chair was carefully peeled off with a scroll saw and then fragments pieced back together over black epoxy clay with a steel armature. The cracks and seams reveal areas removed by the blade kerf during the skinning process. The original wood cutoffs were then mounted on the wall as an artifact of the process.
