The surface layer of a found chair meticulously peeled with a scroll saw and then pieced back together, with the wooden innards replaced by black epoxy clay over a steel armature. The cracks and seams reveal areas removed by the blade kerf during the skinning process. The original wood cutoffs were then mounted on the wall as an artifact of the process.
